Katie McCarthy is a Boston-based comedian who will make you delightedly shriek “What?!” She’s peddled her brand of silly-yet-cerebral humour all around, impressing audiences at Bridgetown Comedy Festival, Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival, All Jane Comedy Festival, and Women in Comedy Festival. Starting as a sketch writer and actor, Katie has since tackled stand up; her absurd ruminations on personal experiences, pop culture, and politics quickly made her a favourite of Boston’s legendary Comedy Studio, where she served as their Comic In Residence in January 2016. She’s appeared on Nerdist’s Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction podcast three times and can be seen on SeeSo’s Hidden America for like two minutes. She co-produces a showcase called Party Cruise, and doesn’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day or the guarantee of seeing a dog.
