Luba Magnus

Originally from small town Port Colborne Ontario, Luba began performing stand-up comedy in Toronto in 2006, and was quickly nominated to perform at the annual Fresh Meat showcase at Second City in 2007. After some time away from the stage and stepping back into the spotlight in Waterloo Ontario, Luba returned to Toronto in early 2016, and has since appeared on some of the city’s most popular shows, has been heard on SiriusXM, and performed at the 2017 SheDot festival.

Luba brings a unique act to the stage, combining her jokes with music and drawings. In her day job as a Motion Designer/Animator/Illustrator, her work has been seen on the web (CBC Comedy), in national movie theatres (Cineplex), and on television (CBC Kids, PBS, + more).

She is incredibly self-aware of her quirkiness and fully embraces that in her stand-up routine.
